Point of load application for Mcr

This function sets the position where the load acts in the I-section in Eurocode3.

From the Main Menu select Design > General > General Design Parameter > Point of load application for Mcr

First, select the members in the model and enter the following:

Option

Add / Replace: elements are added or replaced.

Delete: unselect the elements to be assigned Special Seismic Loads or Vertical Seismic Forces.  

Point of load application for Mcr

     - Mcr is calculated according to Eq. ENV 1993-1-1:1992, F1.1 and F1.3.

     - It can be set for individual members (Beam&Column)

     - "zg" : The distance between the shear center of the section and the point where the load is applied

     - when entering a value outside the cross section, the value up to the edge of the cross section is applied during design

     - The top direction has a (+) sign for zg.
