Assign Column Strip

  1. Column Strip Name : Select the Column strip  which was defined           

      in  the Define Column Strip function.

      You can open the Define Column Strip dialog box by clicking the

      button.

  2. Assign by Node :   by specifying two nodes to create Column strip

      It can be used when you want to set up a column strip on a slab

      without effective beams.

  3. Nodal Connectivity:  by selecting the two nodes in model view to

     create Column strip.If it is not visible, you can check it by checking

     the Display menu > Element tab > Column Strip.

  4. Assign by Element

     - Add/Replace : Install a new Column Strip or delete and replace

       the  previously installed Column Strip.

       Select Effective Beam in the model view and click the Apply button

       to define the Column Strip on the line where the Effective Beam is

       installed.

     - Delete : Deletes the selected Column Strip. Select the Column

       Strip in the model view and click the Apply button to delete it.

  Note.

  Since the column strip design is calculated based on the minimum thickness of the strip, the drop panel width should be entered wider than the strip.

(If it is set to be narrower than the designated column strip, it is designed with the minimum thickness in the area at the end of the strip design)
